A community before it was a club.

On 20 February 2020, Preben "Prebbz" Finstad lit the fuse on Ionized — a place for Norwegian gamers to belong, to grind, and to win together.

What began as a Discord and a stream grew into a registered organisation in Kristiansand — Ionized Esports AS — fielding teams across two of the biggest titles in esports. The mission never changed: charge up local talent and send it as far as it will go.

Ionized is founded on 20.02.2020 as a Norwegian gaming community and brand in Kristiansand — the foundation everything else is built on.

First Team, Instant Champions

Ionized's first League of Legends roster storms Telialigaen høsten 2022 — an undefeated 8–0 run to the 4. divisjon title in its very first season.

Reaching the Top Tier

Valorant defends national Division 1, finishing 3rd at the 2024 playoffs. The LoL side earns opprykk to 2. divisjon with a 7–1 autumn.

Fall, Then Surge

A brutal 2. divisjon baptism ends in relegation — but Ionized answers immediately with a flawless 7–0 spring to win the division and bounce straight back up.

2026

Knocking on 1. Divisjon's Door

Another opprykk carries Ionized into 2nd of 10 in Komplettligaen våren 2026 (7–2) — including a statement 2–1 win over eventual champions Kiosken — and into the 1. divisjon qualification finale. On 16 June 2026, Volda E-Sport edged us 0–2. So close: the door to 1. divisjon stays shut for one more split — and we are still knocking.

2022 — Telialigaen · 4. Divisjon Champions

Undefeated 8–0 in the club's debut League of Legends season. A perfect start to the competitive story.
2023 — NVL · Valorant Promotion

Won the 2. divisjon qualifier 3–0 over psyduck, launching Ionized's climb toward the national top flight.
2024 — National League · Division 1 · 3rd Place

Held and defended a national Division 1 spot, then placed 3rd at the 2024 playoffs — the highest peak so far.
2025 — Good Game-ligaen · Flawless 7–0 Spring

A perfect spring split and immediate redemption — winning the division and powering straight back up.

League of Legends — Active

Debut champions in 4. divisjon (2022), undefeated 8–0. Climbed to 2. divisjon through multiple promotions. 2nd of 10 in Komplettligaen våren 2026 — into the 1. divisjon qualifier. Founder Prebbz.ion still suits up on the roster.
Valorant — 2023–2025

Rose through the Norwegian Valorant League to national Division 1. 3rd place at the 2024 Div 1 playoffs — the program's high-water mark. Developed talent like fsau (Ulrik Roksvåg), "our GOAT", who went international. Currently inactive on VLR, with the door open to return.
